Who are short-term impoverished households?
無論何時，總有一些收入有限的香港市民會因各種原因突然失去居所，或迫於無奈需要搬遷。雖然他們可能會感到徬徨無助，但其中亦有一部分人隱約意識到，與其單靠輪候公屋，不如主動出擊，擴闊自己的房屋選擇。「要有光」致力將這種積極心態培養並轉化作實際行動。
Throughout the ages, there have always been Hong Kong citizens with limited income who face the unsettling reality of sudden home loss or being compelled to relocate. While they may feel overwhelmed, some still have an uncertain awareness of the need to take proactive steps to broaden their housing options rather than solely waiting for Public Rental Housing. Light Be strives to foster the development of this awareness into concrete action.

「要有光」根據香港的實際情況及十多年來受惠住戶的成功案例，開發了一種原創房屋計劃，並以激勵「短貧戶」上進心作為租務目標。
Light Be has crafted an original housing scheme inspired by the realities of Hong Kong and the success cases of beneficiary residents over the past decade. This initiative seeks to ignite the aspirations of short-term impoverished households, making the tenancy a start for a journey toward brighter future.

What are the sources of Light Be’s housing units?
「要有光」的住宅單位原為一般私人物業，但在業主的善意及各界的支持下，這些物業透過「向上流動租約」營運模式，被轉化作光房、光屋、青年光房及光廈等房屋項目，遍布香港各區。。
The housing units of Light Be began as ordinary private properties. Yet, with the kind-heartedness of their owners and the support of various sectors, these spaces have been repurposed into housing schemes, namely Light Home, Light Housing, Youth Light Home and Light Factory, operating under the Upward Mobility Tenancy model across various districts of Hong Kong.
